Hello, 

Let me preface by I've reached out to Sage technical support (1:30 hours yesterday) and we have another appointment for tomorrow, however, I thought I'd post here see if anybody has encountered this issue. 

I setup a new company on sage, and built my own chart of accounts. The accounts are in logical order and statements appear as they should be. However, when running the balance sheet, the "current earnings" account as designated by Sage is showing an amount of 0 (instead of the actual amount for the period), which is causing my assets to not match my liabilities + equity. 

When creating the company, I changed the name and number of current earning account, and I don't think this should have affected this, but who knows. 

The tech support mentioned that this should be an "X" type account, yet, there are no "X" type accounts in my chart of accounts, and when you see the linked accounts under general settings, the current earnings account is setup to the correct account (the one showing 0 in the balance sheet). 

So basically, I'm at a loss. Tech mentioned there may be something wrong with the file, which would truly suck since I put a lot of work into building this new company. 

Any guide or advice to try? Thanks.
