Creating a backup that is not a cabinet file can be achieved by changing the file extension of your backup. After creating your backup in Sage 50, locate the .CAB file in Windows Explorer and rename the file extension to .txt or any other extension that is accepted by your requirements. Just make sure that when you or someone else needs to use the backup, you change the extension back to .CAB. For detailed steps, please refer to this article on how to change the file extension.

If you’re copying files instead of creating a backup, you can easily do this by selecting both the SAI file and SAJ folder in Windows Explorer and copying them to a new location. For step-by-step instructions on copying files, please refer to this article.
