Bank Statement Error

SOLVED

Hi, I have recently been put in charge of the book keeping, and so I have to enter everything back several months.  On my September bank statement I found an error.  My boss wrote a cheque for 312.24 through the bank teller, so I have a bank receipt that says this correct amount, the cheque stub says this correct amount, and the bill to be paid says this amount.  BUT, when the cheque was cashed, the bank put 312.74.  My boss does have hard to read writing, the photo copy of the cheque cashed does look like it could be .74.

Now it is Jan. 1st, do I go into the bank and get them to fix it, or should I just enter 312.74 on the check amount and be done with it?
