Hi,

It's possible to print information from the Projects, or other Sage 50 data tables if you use a customized Crystal Reports invoice, so you will be able to print it on most Invoice or Order forms.

There's no way to print Project information from the Project data using the 'Sage 50' type forms, unless you count manually typing the project number into the 'Comments' section of the invoice screen.

How do i get the Crustal Reports.. I see that i can switch to that from Sage 50 form but it tells me it is not installed. I only recently installed the Sage 50 program and am new to it. If you could point me in the direction that would have me able to print the project number on the invoice I would really appreciate it.

Crystal Reports 8.5 for Simply Accounting was shipped with Simply Accounting Pro and Premium, back in about 2005 or 2006.  This version is necessary to modify forms.  The current versions of Sage 50 ship with only the print engine part of the program.

No newer version will work properly, unfortunately.  The ancient 8.5 version is probably still available from SAP / Crystal Decisions.  

Most Sage 50 Certified Consultants, and most accountants in the Sage Accountants' Network will have the Crystal Report program and can do the customization for you.

My version of Sage 50 is Release 2014.0 (21.0.0.1). Can you direct me to someone who would be able to do help me with this customization.

Hello Shae,

Now that crystal reports is no longer supported I have developed an invoice utility that enables you to customize your invoice and add any additional fields that are necessary.  However, you will need to purchase the Sage Intelligence module in order to add the project information to the report.

Since you'r using Sage 50 Release 2014.0 you should be able to run crystal reports from the program, unitil you update to 2014.3 (Release 3).
