QuickBase and Simply Accounting

SUGGESTED

A client uses Simply Accounting and one of her major customers uses an Intuit product called QuickBase. They access that software to get the new construction jobs that they are to work on. Unfortunately, they take the information from QuickBase and then input it into Simply Accounting. Does anyone know if the info can be imported directly into Simply Accounting? Otherwise, the info from QuickBase can be exported to Excel and then imported into Simply Accounting. I have never imported from Excel into Simply Accounting and would appreciate help in this regard.

Thanks!

Marc

Some types of information can be imported into Sage 50 / Simply Accounting with the "out of the box" software.

    For import formats, see:

na.sage.com/.../guides-and-manuals  and pick 'older guides and manuals'.

Download the PDF for 2006, Advanced Topics.  There is a section there on importing some types of data.  No need to fuss with the version number, it's there for you to specify that the program importing has to be at least that version.  About all of the current functionality was in the 2006 version.

One easy way to figger out the import file format, is to just export some of your data, and see how it's organized.  Not all data is import-able, so you may need a third party program, or you're a programming ninja you could download the developer's SDK (ODBC, C#, C++, or Visual Basic) in order to do it.

I hope that helps, please post back and / or tag any solution that you found helpful.
