EFT file - Wrong Name Company

Hi,

We are sending our payments to our suppliers with the EFT transfer with RBC Express. All of our suppliers are saying that it is not written the name of our company on their bank statement. It is written Banque Pay/Pay. We talked with RBC and they are saying that there is a field in the EFT file that is telling the name of our company. So, because the name it is not written correctly, there is a problem with our EFT file and we need to correct that.

How can we change the name of our company so our suppliers will see on their bank statements that the the deposit was paid by us and not by Banque Pay/Pay?

    You need to open the EFT file that contains the banking information of your company, the Sage 50 data file location and also the number system for payables, receivables, employees, (such as 200 for payables, etc) and that is where your company name should be showing.  If you cannot find this section then call the RBC Express tech support (not the bank) and they will likely be able to help you find the location to enter the company name. If you were the one to first set up RBC Express then this would have been the first section you would have needed to complete prior to entering vender names/bank info. Sorry I can't be more specific - it has been quite a while since I have used the RBC Express system but do remember it worked very well and the selling feature for me was the turnover time to get money fast to employees - do in morning and quite often it would be in employee bank by late afternoon same day.
