Hi;
I'm a new user of this program and I having hard time.
I create a new account under 5500, but I forget to create a header account.
What I need to do to create the header if my first account is 5500?
Please help.
Thanks;
Dan69
Hi Dan69,
if no transactions have been posted to account 5500, you can still change the account number.
If transactions have been posted to account 5500 and you are using premium or up, you can increase the number of digits in account number by going to Setup, Settings, General, Numbering. Then, you will have more space in the numbers to create the header back.
If transactions have been posted to account 5500 and you are using Pro, then you need to restore a backup before you create that new account 5500.
If you do not have backup, you will need to find one of our consultants or partners using accountant edition. They can then open your data by accountant edition and change the account number.
You can find them from the link below:

Hope this helps

Hi Keith;
Thank for your respond.
I'm using Pro 2014.
If I increase the number, that will solve my problem?
Thanks;
Dan69
Hi, Dan69
If you are using Pro, there is no option for you to increase the digit of account number from 4 to higher as this is a feature available from Premium or up.
As mentioned in my previous reply, if you have not post any transactions to account 5500, you can still change the account number and then fix the problem.
If you have already posted transactions to the account, you will need to restore a backup before the account is created or get help from our partners who are using accountant edition. Again, you can find them from the link below.
