Linked Accounts

I'm trying to link an account for Principal Bank Account.  The software won't otherwise let me create invoices.  I have acct 1002 set up for cash which I want to be my linked account for Principal Bank Account but I keep getting a message saying I can't use that account number.  If I create a new account, it won't let me use it.

    If I understand you correctly, you haven't linked the accounts yet. Close any open windows in Simply Accounting, go to setup, settings, receivables, linked accounts. Enter your 1002 for the principal bank account, and any missing accounts for receivables then click ok.
