Exporting and Importing Chart of Accounts

How do I copy, or move the Chart of Accounts from an old version to a new one? We moved from Sage Simply Accounting Premium 2012 to Sage 50 Pro Accounting Version 2017.

The answer is Simply (pun intended), File, Import/Export, Export Records.... and export the ledger records for the chart of accounts to a file. You can then import them into the new file (created as a blank database) using File, Import/Export, Import Records...

You will have to do all the linking in the Setup menu yourself but you can mimic what you did in the 2012 version.
