Help!!! I've been using Sage 50 for 9 years fairly smoothly. I recently downloaded the upgrade Simply 2019 with payroll updates and when I attempt to upload my T4s (online filing), I get an error message saying 'internet access is required for this command'. I then checked other commands in Simply requiring a browser online and get the same message (sage support, knowledge base, etc) but live chat feature works and accesses the internet via a browser.
So, I've been trying to fix the problem. I've tried 3 different default browsers (chrome, internet explorer and Firefox) - no avail. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Simply 2019. I've added 25 different sage processes to my firewall and no luck. I've since dropped the firewall and windows defender and that didn't help.
I was on hold today for support for 1.5 hours and got a level 1 who said she couldn't help so she put me in queue for a level 2. I waited on hold for 2 hours and got a gentleman who logged into computer, tried a couple things then e-mailed me later saying he had no solution.
I've since tried running the program as administrator...no luck. I've done compatibility tests for Windows 8 and still keep getting blocked from using the browser.
I used the live chat this evening and had a support person suggest I submit my T4s using paper...like people did 20 years ago.
Is anyone else having problems accessing their browser through Sage 50????
Please help!
