I have been using my Sage 50 for 10 years and have gotten an annual update to the newest version every year since. The issue this has caused is that in the original version I had to click in the box that opens for Project allocations in Payables and Receivables. By simply downloading updates this has not been changed. I started using the allocation feature in G/L recently and I don't have to click in that box, it opens with a blinking line ready for an entry.. My IT guy says I have to have an entire new program installed to fix my problem. We pay a lot for these updates. - why should I have to pay for a new program to install, when your updates could surely fix this?
