Is there any hidden reasons why I shouldn't buy Sage 50 Cnd at Staples

SUGGESTED

One of my clients is due for upgrade (always have bought on line) but Staples is running a sale on Sage, and the price is over $200.00 cheaper at Staples.  Was wondering if there is a catch, ie, won't update the existing program, or if not, won't restore from back up, so he has all his history.  Or will Sage price match, if we send them the link to Staples.

Anyone with experience with this?

Buying the program from Staples is not a problem, It will not get updates during the year unless a Support package is purchased through Sage. This would affect things like payroll, EFT or any of the other add on services that can benefit the user. There is no problem with the data set as long as the same version is  purchased, Pro, or Premium All of the history would be brought forward into the new version of the data. You cannot easily move a Premium data set down to Pro to save a few dollars. If the purchase is a 2020.0 product and the client is currently running 2015 or later there should be no concern about restoring a backup if it is a Sage backup file with a .cab extension.

Just some of my quick thoughts.
