MIgrating data/company from Simply accounting 2010 to sage 50 cloud?

SUGGESTED

Is there a way to migrate all of my data (customers, vendors, invoices etc.) using a backup of my Simply accounting 2010 (.cab file)?

(like doing a "restore from backup"?) Sage is prompting me to import a CSV file but i dont know how to extract this file from my old version of simply accounting. it would be much simpler to migrate over my entire company. how would i do this? thanks!!!

    Hi

    You will need to:

    1. Install the 2015 Accountant Edition Trial (but do not open your file in this version).
    2. Install the 2022 version
    3. Restore your .CAB backup in the 2022 version

Follow the steps in this link to convert your existing data to preserve the exact transactional copy of your data for use in the 2022 version. If you only wanted the Chart of Accounts, Customers, Vendors, Employees records, after you follow the conversion steps, you can build a new file with only the 'skeleton' of your existing company by following this link. You are not able to import any invoices or prior transactions with this 'skeleton' option. Hope this helps.

    Andrew:

If you can install the 2015 version, it is just a matter of opening your 2010 file with the 2015 version and it will upgrade the file to 2015. From there, do a backup of your 2015 updated data and restore with your Sage 50 2022 version. If you need further assistance please contact me directly. I can convert your data for you if you wish to save you the bother of doing it yourself. It is a chargeable service which will take generally an hour of time depending upon the quantity of data that needs to be updated.

id be curious to know more about you converting my data... (it is a small company... if you can work with the backup that i have and make it possible to import into the newest cloud version ASAP, i would be glad to do so if the price is right.)
