Downgrade from Sage 50 Canada Premium Accounting?

SUGGESTED

We have downsized our company to a couple of employees - 2 to 4 only. Premium edition has so much cost and features for so few people. Since 2024 version needs a new way to purchase - is there a way to move to subscription using the data we have but for fewer people on the payroll? Is downgrading possible instead of upgrading?

    Hi  ,

Thank you for reaching out and for your continued use of Sage 50 Accounting. I understand downsizing can bring many changes, including the need to reassess your accounting software setup.

While downgrading from the Premium to Pro edition isn't a direct process due to different database structures, we can certainly explore the best way to adapt your current data for a smaller team setup. Here’s a simplified approach we can take:

    1. Year-End Consideration: If we're close to your fiscal year-end, this might be the perfect timing to make the transition smoother.
    2. Data Export: We can help you export essential reports and lists, such as the trial balance, client and vendor details, inventory, and financial statements.
    3. Assistance with MS Excel: If you're not confident with Excel, no worries! We have team members ready to guide you through or even handle this step for you.
    4. Sage Accountant’s Network: For more specialized assistance, connecting you with a member from our network is also an option. They're seasoned in such processes and can ensure everything is carried over correctly.

We want to make sure that your transition is as seamless as possible. Please let me know if you would like me to arrange a call or a meeting with one of our specialists, or if you have any further questions.

Remember, if your subscription lapses, the software will become read-only. We can discuss options to avoid this and keep your business running without interruption.

Looking forward to helping you through this transition.

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
