Downloading Sage50 2020 onto desktop

SOLVED

Hi - I have the latest version of Sage50 Desktop on my computer.

I recently acquire a new client that is a non-profit society which has their own Sage50 2020 version. They only have basic requirements - no payroll or govt remittances.

It is on a CD and I don't have CD drive on my desktop so I have copied files onto an external drive.

If I try to download this version I am told that I must remove the Sage50 current version that is on my computer.

Obviously I do not want to do this - is there another way I can do this?

Thanks!

I should mention they have their own treasurer who is not a bookkeeper hence why I will do the books and hand back the data files via usb.

I currently have about 25 different versions on my system right now.  The only time I have ever been prompted to remove a version on my system is if I am trying to install, for example, 2020.1 and I already have any of the 2020 versions on my system.  It will ask me to remove the 2020.x version I have installed to install the 2020.x version I am trying to install.  The program will not allow multiple versions of the same year to be installed simultaneously.  This does not affect the 2019, 2021, 2022, 20xx versions I already have installed, only 2020.

Are you sure you don't already have 2020.x installed?  Check Apps and Features when you right-click the Start Button to see if it is installed.

If your client doesn't have the latest version installed but you do, you will have to accommodate or you won't be able to send the files back to them.  If that's the case and you don't know the hoops to jump, give me a call.
