SAGE 50 not opening

We have installed Sage 50 on Windows server 2022.  We are now seeing issues where sage doesnt open when we double click on the icon. It tries to open and then closes automatically. What could be the reason here?

  • We don't know if it ever worked so it is hard to give a good reason.

    However, I would first look at firewall issues.  Check the Event Viewer to see if anything is showing up there.

    Thanks for the response. It does work , initially this was installed in 2019 server and the issue started. Sage is hosted by a third party and they suggested to upgrade the server, but even after that the same issue happens atleast 5 times a week and we have to call the support. They will then fix it in 10 minutes, but struggling to find a permenant solution.

    Check to make sure the proper programs are allowed through the firewall.

    Check any antivirus/malware programs that are layered over Windows like McAfee or Norton to make sure they are not blocking it.

    If there is any message, check the Knowledgebase for any articles that relate to the message text.

    Check the Knowledgebase for anything related to the behaviour.

    Check the Knowledgebase for anything related to messages in the Event Viewer.  eg. This Article

    Is there an icon on the Taskbar or does the program completely close so you can't see it in the Task Manager?

    Does it work if you run as an administrator?
