Sage 50 Premium

SUGGESTED

I have Sage 50 Premium on my machines. License is 2 user.  I needed to add 4 users for a different business.  I have purchased the 4 user license and am wondering how I go about installing the 4 user software  without affecting  the 2 user software.  Do I install two complete software installations?  Two icons on my desktop?

thanks

    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out. It's great to hear that your business is expanding and that you've added more users. Upgrading your Sage 50 Premium from a 2-user to a 4-user license is a straightforward process and does not require installing the software twice.

To upgrade your user licenses, simply follow these steps:

    1. On each computer that will use Sage 50, open any Sage 50 company file as the sysadmin in single-user mode.
    2. Navigate to 'Help' and then select 'Upgrade your Sage 50 product'.
    3. In the Sage 50 - Product information window, replace the old serial number with the new one for the 4-user license.
    4. The serial number will determine the number of user licenses available for use. Click 'OK' to retrieve the keycode online, which will update your user license count.

Remember, you only need to use one installation of Sage 50 for all your company data files, regardless of the number of user licenses. This will allow 2 to 4 users to work simultaneously on the company data, provided you have a network or remote data access connection set up.

Should you encounter the message "Another version of this program is already installed," please refer to the following article: Error: "Another version of this program is already installed." which provides a detailed resolution path.

If you require further assistance or have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Sage Support via chat.

    Warm Regards,

I am sorry, I may not have explained things clearly.  I may want to access one business with 4 users and simultaneously need to access 1 or 2 users from the other company.  It is primarily my computer that would access the two companies, but could potentially result in 5 or 6 users using the software.  The 2 user software is being maintained and the 4 user is being used for another company that will require 4 users.  I guess the question is will it run successfully with two complete software setups on my computer?  All the others should only access either the two user or the 4 user but not both. That is essentially what I am asking for help with??
