Deploying Sage 50 Accounting with SCCM

SUGGESTED

Hi all,

I've been tasked with deploying Sage 50 Accounting 2013 to a number of branch offices. We use Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager for software deployment. Does anyone know if it's possible to deploy Sage 50 with SCCM?

I did a search and found a post about installing Simply Accounting 2012 with SCCM and the consensus seemed to be that it wasn't possible without repackaging the app. Is that still true for 2013?

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for your reply. I apologize, I wasn't very clear in my original post. What I'm really looking for is the instructions for performing a "silent install" of the software. In other words, I would like to be able to run a command that will install the software without displaying any dialogs to the user. Is this possible?

    Ryan:

This issue has come up in the past, there is no silent install options for the software that I am aware of, the only way that you might be able to achieve an automated install is to use a scripting program such as AutoIt or Winbatch to send key strokes to the installation program.

Are you doing this to install to PC's at a training center or a school, if so you might consider building the software into an OS image that you could deploy.

You will still have to properly register and have the correct number of license for the software to avoid violating the software agreement!

    Hi Bruce,

Unfortunately, the computers are already out in the field so building the software into an OS image won't help me. Thanks for the suggestion though!
