New User trying to load start up file from Accountant

SOLVED

I just purchased Sage 50 premium 2015.1 and installed it on the computer. The accountant had been doing the books in Sage up until now and sent me the file to load. It is a Sage 50 Data file. It won't open says a required data file is missing... any help would be appreciated! Thanks

The only person(s) who can help you are the one(s) that can send you the entire file.

It's best to send Sage 50 files as a 'backup'  which is a .CAB type archive file.   Reason being, the data 'file' that you click on just tells the program where the data folder with the 400 or so actual data files can be found.

If the 'file' they sent you is 1 KB, and you didn't have to restore it, then to use an analogy, they sent you the cover of the book, without the pages.

If you restored the file they sent you and you're having problems, there may have been a problem backing it up at the accountants' end.

I hope that helps, please post back.
