installed, won't open my back up

Question

Hello, I installed my SAGE 50 Pro onto my new computer. Thought it would be easy to open my company if I saved it as back up on thumb drive, then open in new computer as "restore from back up". Problem is, the Sage program keeps telling me that it was saved as a newer version and can't be opened. But I was saved in the same program. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Open the sample file, check for updates, install them.

The Sage 50 version has to be the same or newer than the one that created the back up. You have installed Sage 50 Pro but which version 2015.1, or 2015.2 or an older version. 
 If your data back up was in Sage 50 PRO 2014.3 and you have installed Sage 50 PRO 2014.1 then, yes, the program will not restore the file. 
 Sage 50 files are not backward compatible.
