Perhaps you could clarify what it is that you are trying to import, also the version of the program that you are using?

i am importing transactions with .imp file, I am using sage 50 Canadian.

Yes I understand that you are importing transactions, are they General Journal, Purchase Invoices, Purchase Quotes, Sales Invoices, Sales Orders or time slips?

The Sales Invoice import does not support a project number field, and as far as I know there is no way to make the program accept a project number using the built in import function.

It may be possible to do this using SQL update statements and write directly to the database, but you would have to figure out all the tables that need to be updated by doing extensive testing, or contact one of the SAGE development partners to help you do this. You would have to determine if it is worth the cost!

couldn't sage just put in a little fix in their program? it doesn't seem like a big job on their side.
