Hello,
I am looking at the General Journal making sure the first entries are correct. I see a couple of departments there. Is there a way to sort via departments. I like to view one account at a time.

Hi brendasage
Unfortunately what you see is what you get with regard to selecting departments in the General Journal. The Select Account window does not have a lot of options.
ok, so when I'm looking at the ledger its going to show transactions for ALL departments. That's too bad. Thanks for quick reply.
The only control you have is this:
to hide a specific department used with the account in the chart of accounts.
You can use this if you don't want to allocate specific Departments to an account.
ok will have a look. This one is a restaurant and they have two locations. Separate bank accounts and GST is 001 and 002. So instead of separate Sage Accounts I did it this way. It is more work but easier to deal with I think.
Hi BrendaSage
Brenda your posting is not clear as to exactly where you are looking. I am assuming you are looking at the general ledger and you want to few the general ledger report per a specific department. Please see the screen shots below. For the first screen shot to appear you need to choose Reports from the menu bar, Financials then General Ledger.
In this first screen shot select the button which says "Select Departments"
In this second screen shot choose the department you wish to view and click OK.
