Project Budget Detail Report

I am trying to run my Project Budget Detail Reports - Actual Vs. Budget, however the first line of expenses has minimal amounts listed under "unassigned budget amounts". I am not sure why that is or where to go look for the error or what was missed. Does anyone know how to access the unassigned budget amounts or where I could look?

Carole,

When you set up your budget details for the project, you specify a total budget amount for a month. Let's say it's $1000 for Expenses for the month.

Then you indicate that for Account 5200 there is a budget of $600 and for account 5300 there is a budget of $300 for the same month. You will see $100 on the report under the unassigned because $600 + $300 = $900 not the total of $1000 that you entered.

Richard,

Since I'm using Sage 50 Pro, I don't think I can enter budget details to this level within the Projects module. Is the procedure above the only way to get rid of the "Unassigned Budget Amounts"?

Yes, without upgrading to Premium you can't get rid of them as far as I know.
