Linking 2 Companies

Hi, 

I have multiple companies that run out of the same office/ warehouse. I have two different overhead door companies that use the same inventory for certain things such as electric overhead door openers. The two companies have two different overhead door products, and are listed separately, which means I have two different companies running on my computer. Is there any way to link the Inventory together with these two companies so that I can keep track of the amount of Openers I have in stock? Other wise when both companies are using openers, I will not have an accurate inventory list.

    The program is designed to specifically deal with the products that a company owns. Two companies cannot own the same product so I don't think there is a way to go around it and come up with your solution, unless you run each company as department.

    If the two companies are not part of the same corporate identity, then they should not be in the same file as you cannot get a good departmental balance sheet.

    If you wanted to go outside of the program to do custom reporting only, then it is possible to do it with Excel, etc. but not within the Sage 50 program itself.
