I have just installed the new 2024 update without issue....thanks! However, once again am very disappointed that the ability to save a payroll cheque run was not integrated into the program. :(
Hi CNIX, question, what is the reason why you would want to say a payroll run? Just curious.
A payrun sometimes cannot be completed in one session for various reasons. It would be nice to be able to enter what can be and then go back and finish, much like you can do with a bank rec. For people with larger payrolls this can be a reason to use the software or not.
okay but can you not tell on the upload screen what has been entered and what hasn't, sorry just trying understand the reason.
Yes but if you want it all in one pay run and can't complete it on one day, you have to re-enter everything.
Each person pay you have to Post before going to the next one. Because you have not Uploaded the ones you did, they should still be showing in the Upload screen as "Not Uploaded". If you go back in the next day and add more, it should show all of them there until you Upload.
I am referring to using the payroll cheque run feature where you are paying a group of employees in the payrun and you post once when all details are entered, not doing individual pay cheques.
gotcha.....:-) yes it is definitely different when not using the direct deposit feature. It is frustrating when you make requests for changes and they never happen. I have been using Sage for 11 1/2 years and there are items that I have asked for or suggested and they just don't ever make the cut even though many people agree that it should happen . :-(
It is direct deposit and it uploads the entire run at once.
I have asked about Code 77 for WSIB on T4 slips for years....also not implemented. Many, many good features implemented over the years but if you can save a bank rec not sure why you can't a payroll run.
I have this same request! Hoping this will be integrated one day!
