Tracking Sick and OT Dollar Value Accruals the same as Vacation Pay

We track dollar value accruals for sick and banked overtime, to allocate to projects.  Is there a way to set this up the same as how vacation is accrued?

    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out. While the Entitlements tab in Sage 50 is primarily for record-keeping and does not create an accounting entry for accruing banked hours, you can still manually enter these accruals. Here's a brief guide on how to set this up:

    1. Changing Workday Hours: This will help in recalculating the accruals based on the revised number of work hours.

      • Go to Setup > Settings > Payroll > Entitlements.
      • Modify the number of hours in a workday as needed.
    2. Renaming Entitlements: To clearly differentiate between different types of accruals such as sick leave, overtime, etc.

      • Go to Setup > Settings > Payroll > Names > Additional Payroll.
      • Rename the entitlement to reflect its purpose (e.g., Sick Leave, Overtime).
    3. Adjusting Accrual Percentages: To set the rate at which these entitlements accrue.

      • Go to Setup > Settings > Payroll > Entitlements.
      • Enter the appropriate percentage in the Track Using % Hours Worked column.

Remember, you'll need to be in single-user mode to perform these tasks if you're using Sage 50 Premium Accounting or higher.

Additionally, it's important to note that the payout of banked hours will still need to be manually entered on the Income tab by the user, as the Entitlements tab does not automatically create an accounting entry for these.

If you require further assistance or have specific questions about your setup, please let us know. Connect with us through the Help and Chat options available within your Sage product.

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi

Yes, we already use the entitlements tab in Sage 50 - for the manual tracking of days/hours.  I was looking for how to track these as dollar values - similar to how Sage tracks vacation payable...
