    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out. To pay out remaining vacation hours from the previous year, follow these steps in your Sage 50 Canada software:

    1. From the Home window, go to 'Employees & Payroll', then 'Paycheques'.
    2. Select the relevant employee from the drop-down menu.
    3. If the employee has been terminated, confirm at the prompt to proceed.
    4. Click the 'Vacation' tab, and enter the payout amount in the 'Vacation Paid' line for 'This Period'.
    5. Note that the amount doesn’t auto-calculate when you enter hours, so you'll need to enter the monetary amount.
    6. This will deduct from 'Vacation Owed (Year to Date)' and add it to 'Gross Pay'.
    7. If vacation earned wasn’t entered previously, add it manually to 'Vacation Earned (This Period)'.

Important: For terminated employees, if your records are set to 'Calculate vacation on vacation paid', uncheck this option in 'Employee Records' > 'Income' before issuing the final paycheque.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
