T4 printing problems

I am in the process of printing 2023 T4's for a client.  All have printed correctly except for two employees whose termination dates are in 2023.  There are other terminated employees for the same periods who are printing just fine.

I can print the T4's individually, however they are not showing up in the CRA submission file either.  I don't really want to enter all T4's manually to the CRA website if I don't have to.

Does anyone have any idea why they are not printing in the group.

    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out, was this for Sage 50 Canada? If so, then based on the details you've provided, there are a few potential reasons why these T4s might not be printing in the group or appearing in the submission file:

    1. Payroll Service Update: Ensure your Sage 50 payroll service is up to date. An outdated service might not correctly process all employee records.

    2. Printer and System Settings: If you're printing a large number of T4s, it's recommended to print in batches to avoid memory or system limitations. Although your issue seems to be with only two T4s, checking your printer and system settings as per the troubleshooting steps outlined in the article "My T4 is not printing" could be helpful. You can find more detailed instructions here: My T4 is not printing.

    3. Employee Record Issues: The message "Sage 50 has found at least one invalid employee..." suggests there might be issues with the employee records themselves, such as no income/benefit reported for the year. Although you mentioned the problem is with the termination dates, it's worth reviewing the employee summaries for any discrepancies. More details on this can be found in the article here: Error: "Sage 50 has found at least one invalid employee".

    4. Province-Specific Issues: If the employees had any changes in their taxable province throughout the year, this could also lead to issues. The error "Cannot export CPP and QPP for XXXXX employee..." could be related if there were any provincial tax discrepancies. Guidance on handling these situations is available here: Error: "Cannot export CPP and QPP for XXXXX employee".

If these steps do not resolve the issue, or if the problem is not related to the above causes, it may be beneficial to directly contact Sage 50 Customer Support for more personalized assistance.

Please let us know if you need further assistance or have additional questions.

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
