Sage 2024.1 Payroll From RBC to CIBC *.Dat File Conversion

Hello 
 Trying to help our accountant with Sage software. Company has switched banks for payroll from RBC to CIBC. The payroll out option only appears to be *.dat file in Sage 50 but CIBC will only accept *.txt and *.csv file upload format. I have tried the other options listed in the community forum. My question is can Sage 50 output payroll in the required formats outside of .dat file or is the only option to manually convert the output .dat file to txt or csv file format?

Although Sage 50 typically generates .DAT files for payroll, these files are essentially text files and can be renamed to .txt for easier access. The .DAT files that Sage generates for EFTs are already in a standard format that many banks, including CIBC, should recognize. 
 For your specific scenario, CIBC requires a Data Centre number, which is supported by Sage's EFT file format. You can follow the instructions outlined in our knowledgebase to change your payroll bank account and generate EFT .DAT files. Once you've created the file, you can rename the extension to .txt or .csv if needed. Please ensure that the format complies with CIBC's requirements for processing. 
 Here are the steps for generating the EFT .DAT file: 
 
 Complete the initial setup for EFT if not already done. 
 Navigate to File > Import/Export > Upload Direct payments > Employee Direct Deposit options after posting all deposit cheques. 
 After selecting the cheques and clicking Upload, save the EFT Direct File to your computer.
