If it's a version prior to 2017.0, check the default settings under Setup | Settings | Receivables | Linked Accounts.

Version 2017.0 seems to ignore the setting.  I don't know whether Sage software is aware of this problem.

Ok, it is version 2017.0. I did just see a thread where someone else has the same issue.

Sage software will want to know about this, it likely got broken when they added the settings for payment method to the customer record / screens.  

Because of past surprises we uncheck the box in Setup | User Preferences for

[ ] Automatically Download Product Updates and Prompt User to Install Them.  

And if Sage does a Microsoft and decides to make updates mandatory, we have an alternative vendor, software package, and conversion plan ready.

Are you going to contact Sage about this?

Sage has been updated (thanks Jo Anne). I also have only seen the problem in Receipts.

And yes, sorry, the issue with the bank "deposit to" when receiving payments is only in my receivables and not the payables. Sorry for the confusion.

Since 2016 the option for Automatic updates has been moved from Setup, User Preferences

to
