new bank account not showing in reconciliation

Hello!
I entered a new bank account in my company with what I believe to be exactly the same parameters as my old checking account. However, when I make transactions, this data does not appear in the bank reconciliation for the end of the month... I'm a bit at a loss to know what the problem is :)

    Hi Ann:

    Go into your chart of accounts from the Company Icon and open your bank account chart of account. Go to the folder Reconciliation & Deposits, tick the box Save Transactions for Account Reconciliation. Go to the Set Up button in the bottom right of your screen and select which accounts to default to when you use the Reconciliation feature, then select Save. Hope this helps!

    Hi! Thank you for rour answer ! Actually, the problem is a little bit different then I thought (I'm doing the day to day accounting, but somebody else do the "end of the month"...). Since the creation of the new bank account, new transactions are correctly entered in the accounts. However, when the time comes to reconcile them, what is "clicked" as reconciled reappears in the following month as yet to be reconciled... Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hi Anne:

    It sounds as if the reconciliation(s) have not been posted as completed because once those transactions are cleared from and posted in the reconciliation module those transactions should not show up. If they do show up it means either they have been entered twice or adjusted after the reconciliation was completed and posted. I hope this answers your question!

    well, it is the same person who does my accounting since 20 years old with the same computer and same "Sage" that says there is now a problem conciliating the accounts. It started with a new bank account creation... It seems to have a malfunction of the software if there is no configuration problem?

    Have you checked that 'reconcile this account' is turned on in the account setup for the new account?

    Thank you for your reply! Yes, it was checked... I tried to uncheck it, then to "save" it, then I checked it again... I'll see what happens... The only difference between my new account and the old ones is that there's nothing entered in "code IGRF", which is 1002, in my old account... I don't know what it is :S
