Year end change

We changed our year end from April to Dec 31/2023.

Today the staff, when logging in changed to jan 1/2024.

We are now trying to change the fiscal year end to Dec 31st, 2023 but the system will not allow us to move forward.

Any suggestions?

    Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue, as outlined in our Knowledgebase:

    1. Ensure you are logged in as sysadmin and in single-user mode.
    2. If there are any transactions posted in 2024, you'll need to review and address these entries. You can find them by generating a transaction detail report for the next fiscal year.
    3. If the calendar year has been closed, you might need to restore from a backup made before the calendar year was advanced. You can then re-post any transactions up to the current date.

    One small addition to Erzsi's advice.  You will probably need to restore a backup from before the staff changed the date to Jan 1, 2024.  You should be able to change your yearend date to December 31, 2023 in that file.

    Then roll the date forward to Jan 1 2024 again, and, of course, repost any 2024 entries.
