Hello community, I am in desperate need of HELP !
We use Sage Business Vision for small business version 2023. We installed it on 1 new computer with Windows 11 operating system in November 2022. Originally, there was an immediate C++ runtime error (printing issue) which was solved by installing the patch. I had no further issues with printing, until I installed the January payroll update. I was unaware of the NEW freezing issue, until I installed a 2nd new computer with Windows 11 operating system 3 weeks ago, and the user of the 1st computer told me that she was also experiencing severe freezing issues again.
There is no error given .. you see the report come up on the screen, everything looks normal, but when you hit "print" is when you discover that you are actually frozen. (BV is frozen)
I now have 2 Windows 11 based computers that freeze randomly when either printing or saving the reports as a pdf. When I refer to "reports" it can be a cheque, an order confirmation, packing slips, etc.
My girls are losing a lot of time every day, as each time that the computers freeze, it is only via "task manager" (control, alt, delete) that we can close BV, re-open (log back in), try printing again, and hope that it doesn't freeze again. With cheques, we have to void the cheques, change the cheque sequence numbers, & try to print the cheque again, as the system THINKS that the cheque has printed when it is reopened. I am now having to have people switch stations with others, in order to perform certain tasks (print payable cheques or do payroll), as this can only be done efficiently from the computers that still have the Windows 10 operating systems.
I am shocked to see that no-one else seems to have reported this issue in here. Can anyone help & provide a solution to stop this from happening? Is there a download anywhere that anyone is aware of that has been issued by BV that I can't seem to find????
OR .. does anyone know if this is currently being worked on by Sage BV & approximately how long it might be before there is a solution for this?
If not, I have been told by 2 IT people that I would have to wipe my computers clean of Windows 11 (I don't have the option of "rolling back" to Windows 10 on these), install Windows 10 and then reinstall all of the programs that we work with & the files again (not mention setting the users up, & permissions from the server, etc, etc). I would REALLY rather not have to do that, & am holding off on installing 2 more new computers that came with Windows 11.
I would appreciate any suggestions or fixes that anyone is aware of, & thank you in advance for your help !!!!
