I just processed an April 1, 2024 payroll and the transaction journal shows a date of April 1, 2024, which is correct.

However, when I review the General Ledger, the transaction was posted on March 31, 2024 which is incorrect.

The same thing happened last month and I had to make correcting journal entries to adjust.

Why did this happen?
