Posting Invoices Outside Fiscal Periods

SUGGESTED

I want input invoices that will be applied to customer accounts that can be upto 5yrs ahead.  I dont want to use the reaccuring transactions as they do not post to the customer accounts.

When I try to future date the invoice for a customer that will become due next year it says it is outside the fiscal periods.  I dont want the invoice to affect current AR as it has not become due and there maybe a chance of cancellation.

I want  to input all the invoices right away so next year I dont have to figure out which customers still need to be invoiced.

If your initiating customer invoice is created in Accounts Receivable, it can be used as a template for a recurring entry. The only transactions you cannot set up as recurring are those that need to print (ie: AP cheques, Order Entry invoices, or Paycheques)  Also, you can select the transaction to keep on recurring up to a latest date of Dec 31 2020 (even though there is the option to select up to year 2100, you will get an invalid date error). This creates no issues for accountants except that transaction number sequence will fall into future fiscals. The transactions will post as soon as anyone logs on using the date the transaction is due to be posted to the system, or later.
