Hello.  Sage BusinessVision 2014 can convert any Sage BusinessVision data that is Y2K (year 2000) compliant.  A good way to tell is if your BV Turbo product can post data in the 2000 year and beyond.  If this is the case, BV2014 is able to convert the data.  

First thing is do is have a backup copy of the Turbo data.  Then install Sage BusinessVision 2014 on your new computer.  BusinessVision installs into C:\BusinessVision.  Create a folder in C:\BusinessVision and call it "olddata" for example.  Copy the Turbo data files in there.  After the copy is complete, your files should be in C:\BusinessVision\olddata and will contain a number of files with *.ISM and *.IDX extensions.

Login to Sage BusinessVision 2014 using "BUSINESS" as the user ID and "VISION" as the password.  You will be logged into the company under C:\BusinessVision\Data.  Click File, Company Selection, Amend, Open.  Browse to C:\BusinessVision\olddata and select the BVCON.FIL.  Add the company to your selection list and attempt to login with your own username and password.  Upon accepting the username and password, BusinessVision will attempt to start the conversion process.  

BV2014 will go through a couple of conversions since it is moving the data files from the old DOS file format to the newer BTR (Btrieve) file format.  Once the conversions are complete your data will be ready for use in BV2014.
