Using Server as Workstation in Peer to Peer Network

What are the possible problems with login on to BV on our server instead of our workstations?  We have regular occasions where we logon to the server to process AR & AP transactions and to receive PO's.  I've read that its not recommended to use the server as a workstation but I cannot find further information to present to the boss.

We are running windows 7 on 3 pcs.  2 are used as workstations and one it setup as the Pervasive Server.  BV SBE 7.77.

    The only issue you may come across when working on the "server" workstation is a slow-down in performance for the other 2 users as the "server" is trying to accomplish several tasks.
    We have setup many small businesses using BV SBE 3-user with work-group "servers" and there have been no problems.
