Why is the gross pay amount not equal to the amount I entered when I was doing payroll time card?

I was doing payroll time card, and the gross pay was more than the amount I entered. How could this happen?

In order to keep the values you enter, you must select <Total> on the Time Card entry, then <Print>. If you <Save> the Time Card, BV will recalculate all the values.

If you have taxable benefits that are preset by employee like Life Insurance these will be added to the total gross wage entered.

So will accrued Vacation Pay.

No, not accrued vacation, just paid vacation. This would include the vacation pay automatically calculated and added to the timecard when vacation pay is not "Retained".
