Why does selling price disappear when UOM is changed?

SOLVED

I've created a new UOM, and when I change the default sell UOM to the new UOM my margin and selling price disappear on the details tab.  How do I get that to stop happening?  I can't have a sell UOM with no price.  Thanks.

our problem is that when our employees only use the search screen that you only see the default price. You can have multiple selling prices with different margins if you wish but only 1 default. Add a UOM but don't set it as the default. Then go into the pricing tab and choose your new UOM and set its price. You will be able to choose the UMO during order entry. I keep a seperate practice copy of our data to try things with out changing the formal data.

Yes someone called me yesterday to tell me about this. That yes you can have two selling prices. My problem was that when I went into the pricing tab and clicked "Use Price Factor" it was showing the price as zero, and I didn't realize that it would display in order entry even though the pricing tab said zero. Also I couldn't figure out why it kept disappearing from the details tab, but I guess when you have more than one selling price it doesn't know which one to display, so you just have to go to the pricing tab to look at it.

You can have as many UOMs as you want with each part number and a new 20 level Price list is created for each UOM....IF you want a seperate price list for each UOM.
If you want the price for the additional UOMs to be based on Price Level ONE from the main UOM then you click on "Use Price Factor" and the system will do the math for the price.
    It is very logical.
