Have joined a small non-profit, and they currently use Sage 50 on someone's personal laptop. I'll be encouraging them to move to the cloud. Are there any stats comparing installations/users of Sage 50 vs Sage Accounting (cloud)? I want to be able to say that the majority of Sage users are now using the cloud version (citing a percentage), and we should, too.

Great question, thanks for reaching out! Though both Sage 50 and Sage Accounting software is for small business each offer unique benefits and are both popular choices. If your goal is to move the non-profit's data to a more secure environment, cloud-based options are generally considered safer than a personal laptop.
No stats are available to say that the "majority" of Sage users have moved to the cloud, but the movement is evident in the industry for the added security and accessibility features.
