My business is always looking at ways to reduce the amount of paper used, as well as reducing our Carbon Footprint one step at a time.
All paper printed one side only is reused once using the other side in the semi-manual feed of our copier.
Also when clearing out old files any re-usable paper is saved for re-printing too.
We plant a tree for ever new client we get on board and when anything good happens in DLR Accounting Solutions. We've planted over 2000 trees since June 2020 when we started so super proud. We are also looking towards 100% paperless office to tie in with this effort.
That's fantastic Donna Robinson FCCA, you should feel super proud of the difference you are making.
Great ideas Daniel S J Strettle! Not only are you saving paper and helping the environment but saving money too, wins all round.
We use a document management system to scan all purchase invoices so we don't need to print them out. We have 1,000's of invoices a month so it's a small step that has saved thousands of reams of paper being used. Sustainability can seem daunting but try and break it down into smaller chunks and look for the easy wins, they all add up and contribute.
we no longer print invoices to go in customer orders, instead they can request to have them Emailed. As an Ecommerce business, we also have green web hosting - something that can easily be forgotten about.
Being a small charity, we always work on little things to save money and become more sustainable. Recently we have pushed to ensure all of our invoicing is online, and as part of your visit to the site, each group is allowed to plant a tree as part of their visit.
I'm like a cloud in the sky! ........On a serious note it gave my son an awesome sustainability project at school! Who initially gave me the idea by accusing me of ruining the planet! so .. its awesome getting inspiration and seeing it develop!
