I am looking to add the cost centre name (not the 3 digits) to my reports but can't find the variable - does anyone know what it is?
The variable is called "Name" and its part of the "NLCostCentres" table, [NLCostCentres.Name]
This table is not on the std P&L reports by default - so you would need to be familiar with Join Editor to add that table to the reports

Did you get prompted to save the layout?
Most likely I'd say you were editing the default report layout, when you try to save you get prompted to save the amended layout to an alternative location
(by default it will prompt you to save amended reports to [ \\**SageShare**\Reporting\Custom ] and you choose the relevant module folder)
In this case you would need to save your amended P&L report to \\**SageShare**\Reporting\Custom\Reports\Nominal and it must have the exact same name as the default report
