Moving Sage 500 to New Servers

Hello All,

We are in the middle of a consolidation exercise and are required to move our Sage 200 install to new servers.
The application and the database will reside of new servers alongside several other applications and servers.

What would be the process of moving the installation? would I need to just backup and restore the db on the new server and run the 200 install or is there configuration needed on the app side?

Hi Matthew,

If you're a Sage 200 Extra / Extra Online customer, I'd recommend you get in touch with your business partner for some support with this. Alternatively, if you're a Sage 200 Standard Online customer, your best bet for a quick answer would be to contact the support team on 0845 111 5555.

Hi Michael,

I've just come into the business and there's a slight confusion as to who is responsible for our account.
Could you or others let me know if it will be as easy as running the install on the new app server and copying the db to the new db server.
