Can the Sage 200 SDK be used with ASP.NET WEB FORMS?

It's a simple question and hopefully we can get a simple answer.  If not then just say NO.

If yes, they why does it not when using your examples from your website? We have been able to put those examples into a WIN FORMS project and it Worked.  When it's in a WEB FORM project it fails.

Has anyone got this to work???

Probably not much help but here is my 2 cents, I did a test a number of years ago and it worked ok on a local intranet, but that was before Windows authentication was introduced (so that could be one factor on connection) but then the Sage 200 Web API was also introduced, haven't done anything with the API yet

Would be interested to hear how you get on with this.

    Hi,

I'm currently looking at a ticket which I believe has been submitted to Sage Developer Services by one of your colleagues.

We don't fully support the use of Web Services with Sage 200 connections, however we do have an example solution which we can support as far as setup.  At the moment we are investigating an issue with the Web Service example and Sage 200c 2018 Winter Enhancements and as soon as we have resolved this I will share the example with you.

    Hi Stephen,

Ah, your online documentation does not make that 100% clear. We started to believe that this might be the case so re-read parts and cannot see anywhere that indicates that it's not supported for Web Service use.

It would be great to get the example as soon as you can make it available.

    Many thanks!!

    Hi Matthew,

There is a section in https://my.sage.co.uk/Sage200SDKDocs/html/DOC0730_Overview.html called "Caveats for the Web Service Examples" where we indicate "The support provided by the Sage Developer Support team will assist you in getting Sage's Supplied Examples up and running in a developer (test) environment and do not extend to your own web service solutions."

If this is not clear in terms of our support boundaries, I will look into how we can make this message better.

In the meantime I will endeavour to get the example solution working for you.

Thanks for that, but Google's not indexed this page as of writing 19-Feb-2019 09:22! After all the searching we did it never found this one, is that because it's a new page?

Thank you for the immediate response now you have a page to point us at. From our initial email to support it's take over a week to get to this.

    Thank you for your assistance.
