Hi Paul, i've seen this before, State 38 of Login failed, is logged when the account is having insufficient access to the database. To fix it, we connected opened SSMS and navigated to the Security > Logins > Right click on the account, then properties. We clicked on “User Mapping” tab and there we saw that the login was not mapped with the database (in this case Sage200Services.)  Hopefully its the same issue for you!

Thanks for the reply, I had noticed the Sage200Services account did not have access to the Sage200Config database alright, and did set it, unfortunately it does not appear to solve the issue

After a load of Digging I think I found the answers

Known issue 8037 - even though the Known issue mentions nothing about the error I was getting.

I ran the script to insert the Missing Feature ID and this allowed me to upgrade the config Database...
