Import Cashbook Receipts and Payments

SUGGESTED

Is there a way of importing cashbook receipts rather than having to type them in? We're a charity and our weekly Justgiving bank receipts need to be coded to 30 odd donation nominal codes/departments. It would be great if we could import them rather than using the nominal ledger import and then having to do a cashbook receipt as well. Amalgamate both jobs if you like.

If anyone knows of a work around I 'd be grateful (we've just migrated to Sage 200 from Exchequer).

Many thanks :-)

There are a couple of ways. You could import them in manually as a payment receipt using the standard functionality. Make sure you tick cashbook entry to get them onto the customer / supplier accounts and into the cashbook.

Or look at Excellerator. They do excel based tools that link directly into you Sage company, validates before uploading.

Ask your BP, they should be able to assist on this.

Hi Martin, We would like to import cashbook receipts and payments from csv or excel to save typing into sage the same transactions each week/month. What do you mean by 'standard functionality' in your post from a couple of year ago?  Apologies i've only been using sage for a couple of months so havn't discovered all of its functionality as yet. I have discovered jornal templates but these seem to be for nominal and not cashbook transactions . Sadly i have now established that Barclays Iportal is not available as a direct bank feed so we are stuck with manual entry for now. Any assistance welcome to cut down manual entry!
