We have a requirement to have two separate companies, one in pounds sterling, the other in Euros, so that the nominal ledger/trial balances will be in euros.
I've seen conflicting information on whether this is possible. Is anyone else doing this?

Hi Caroline
You can set the base currency to Euros but you will need to do this before you start posting transactions.
You might also need to think about VAT returns if the company is GB VAT registered.
Apart from that what you are describing it is feasible.
Thank you for the reply. Just to make sure I understand this correctly - it is possible to set the base currency by company, ie could be in Euros and the other base currency in £s?
Hi Caroline
Yes indeed. You can have one company set in GBP and one in Euros.
