Hi all,
I am setting up a new pc for Sage 200 client but encounter this error, and I am not really sure what does it means. Can someone help me please? Thank you.
Hi.
Check the url in the message. Looks like a pc address rather than a server address.
U did install the client from the sage\installers folder
Hi Toby, so I should get the installation file(exe) as https://<ipaddress>:10443 instead of the pc address correct?
I wouldn't necessarily expect an IP address in there, but I'd expect it to be pointing to the server.
If you have an idea of what the correct URL should be then you'll probably be able to fix this manually without having to reinstall. If you look in C:\ProgramData\Sage\Sage200\ on the client machine you'll find a folder in there with a name that matches the installed version. In that folder will be a file called Sage200CommonAppSettings.config. You can edit that file to point the service base addresses to the right URL.
I have change the URL to a correct one with IP address but problem still happen. The IP does not have SSL. could this be the cause of the problem?
This occurs because of firewall. I have add new inbound rule to allow port 10443. But now have new error because the server does not have SSL at the moment. How to bypass this error?

Thank you for logging this post and our apologies for not responding sooner.
The connection is validated using SSL Certificates.
With network administrator login rights, please follow the Sage Knowledgebase article on installing the certificate to the Sage 200 Client pc.
There may be other points related to passwords on S200Services & S200SecuredServices Users and other troubleshooting that is needed.
More about certificates, ports and SSL can be found in the Sage 200 Professional Installation Guide.
