Sage 200 Api Access Clarification

One of the clients I am working with for my company is switching to Sage 200. They want me to integrate Salesforce with Sage. Does Sage 200 have a api with a REST endpoint that I can make requests against without having to register for the developer program. I need to determine if I will be able to complete this integration. If Sage 200 does not have a REST endpoint I can interact out of box are there any other Sage products that offer an Rest endpoint? Lastly what are the differences between Sage 200, Sage 200 UK, Sage 200 Standard, Sage 200 Online, etc do all of these offer a rest endpoint? Please respond as soon as possible this integration is high priority and need to know what to tell the client.

Best regards,

Zac

is the documentation for the sage 200 API.  you do not have to enrole on the developer to use it, you need a business partner to configure the api on site

Sage 200 Standard, educational - current online hosted version of sage 200 with API access

Sage 200 Professional - on premise version of sage 200 with api access (you need the BP to help configure this)

Sage 200 Partner Cloud - Azure hosted (via a business partner or azure provider) sage 200 with API access.

Standard and educational are slightly different from Professional and Partner cloud.

Link above is the entry point for API documentation.   you then choose your flavour and play

Your customer will have one of the above.

can you explain the business partner bit a little bit more.. I seen in another post a person say that it would be the sage customer we are doing the integration for is that true? This bit about the business partner is a little confusing... When you say the business partner to configure the api on site we would have to have the customer we are doing the integration for setup the api to be exposed from their premises then we would have to interact with the one they setup?

every sage 200 customer has a Sage Business partner who deal with support and on going business with the Sage 200 Software, they help the customers with configuration training etc.  To configure a site for the API access the Business partner needs to be involved as they have to liaise with Sage themselves.

You will probably get more acurate rapid responses and support by asking your Customer who their Sage 200 Business Partner is and talking with them directly, as they are ultimatley responsible for supporting the site, and i believe they are the route to go to for support on the API itself
