Sage 200 Trial Balance individual months after year end date

Hello there

After having a chat with Sage 50 support, I have been informed that you cannot run a TB with individual monthly movements from the moment of the new year, unless you close the year in SAGE, action which is irreversible. 

I would like to know, if any of you have experienced this, if with SAGE 200, you are able to continue accounting in the new year, without closing it, but still be able to have a monthly TB movement report for the new year's months.

When I started using Sage 50, I thought that was common sense, but it seems that it wasn't designed for that - unless you close the year, you cannot run proper reports for the new current year.

    Hi Tony,

    Thank you for raising a question to us via the Community Hub.

    Within Sage 200 it is only possible to run a trial balance for the current year the program is in and previous financial year's, the main reason behind not been able to print a future financial year trial balance, is the way the transactions are posted in Sage 200, Sage 200 uses period postings, therefore the transactions posted into the next financial year, will be posted into a future period therefore show as deferred until the periods are opened.
